Calvi rewards walkers and beach lovers independently, while the Scandola reserve and Balagne villages are best reached by boat or taxi tour.

From the tender quay, walk north along Quai Landry, then climb the cobbled Rue Clemenceau up through the citadel gate. Explore the ramparts and the Cathedral of Saint John the Baptist, then descend via the western side back to the marina.
Head east from the marina along the pine-fringed boardwalk skirting Plage de Calvi. The path runs the length of the beach with views back to the citadel, and terminates near the Calvi airport perimeter. Turn around whenever you like.
