Matsugae Pier (main cruise terminal) is 1–2 km from the city center. Chinatown, Dejima, and the shopping arcades are an easy 15–25 minute walk.
Nagasaki's historic tram network covers all major sights including Peace Park and the Atomic Bomb Museum. Nearest stop to the cruise terminal is Ourakaigandori (~10 min walk). Day passes can be purchased at the terminal information desk.
Taxis queue directly at Matsugae Pier. The city center is a 3–10 minute ride. Meters are used; tipping is not customary. Having your destination written in Japanese is recommended as few drivers speak English.
