A labyrinth of red boathouses, salty piers, and cliff-top swimming holes — Smögen is Sweden's most photogenic fishing village, best devoured with a paper cone of fresh-caught shrimp in hand.
Smögen has no berth for large vessels — you'll tender ashore to the guest harbour (Smögenbryggans Gästhamn), a short walk from the boardwalk.
💡 Pro move: No taxis or shuttles are needed — everything in the village is on foot. Nordens Ark wildlife park requires a car or tour (≈20 min from the pier).
Smögen's harbour accommodates small boats and ferries; cruise ships use tenders from anchorage in the bay.
| Cruise Line | Typical Berth / Arrival | Dock or Tender |
|---|---|---|
| Most cruise lines (Hurtigruten, small-ship expedition lines) | Anchor offshore; tenders to Smögenbryggans Gästhamn📍 | Tendered |
