From the tender wharf, walk to the blue-stone Cathédrale Notre-Dame-de-l'Assomption, then to the adjacent white-painted Palace of the King of Uvea (Palais Royal). The palace cannot be entered but the setting — cathedral, king's residence, and lagoon — is quietly remarkable. Continue a few minutes along the seafront for views back to your ship.

The main town of Mata-Utu is within a 2–5 minute walk from the tender pier. The cathedral, royal palace, and waterfront are all easily reached on foot.
Cruise ship excursions are the most reliable way to visit attractions beyond town, such as crater lakes and motus. Independent transport options are very limited.
A handful of private taxis exist but are scarce and not reliably available dockside. Best arranged in advance through your ship or accommodation.
